Frequently Asked Questions

Is this program suitable for beginners?

Absolutely! This program is for anyone but it was specifically designed to pull you out from a rut and get you to move in varying ways so that you form a habit and lifestyle you don’t want to quit on. It works for any level because if a workout wasn’t hard enough, that simply means you didn’t push yourself. Once you’re done with TFE 20, advance on to TFE Build.

How long does the program last?

TFE20 tells you exactly what to do for the next 30 days. Your intro to the program is a test day. Your last day is a test day to see how much you have improved. You can repeat this program as many times as you like. Or if you are ready, you can move on to the next program, TFE Build. TFE Build tells you exactly what to do for the next 42 days / 6 weeks. You’re not finished at day 42. Day 43 is a mental fortitude challenge for you to celebrate, to see what your body is now capable of and to keep going.

What equipment do I need for the workouts?

TFE20 has a variety of workouts that are both in the gym or at home and outdoors. This program is to provide you with strength days as well as get your outside moving in a way you may have not done before in other programs. An equipment list is provided with links. If you do not have equipment, you can always get creative or simply do bodyweight exercises. Examples of equipment used are dumbbells, kettlebells, med balls, swiss ball, jump rope, weighted vest, etc.

TFE Build is meant to be done in a gym or a fully stocked home gym. If you don’t have either of these, buy a gym membership. I promise, it’ll be worth it.

How much time per day do I need to dedicate to the workouts?

TFE20 is called TFE20 for a reason. Three days a week you will be doing strength workouts. The actual workout itself takes about 20 minutes. A full workout with dynamic warmup, strength training, cardio and core finisher should take an hour. You can scale to the time you have available. On non-strength days, you can scale the times as needed. I recommend you push yourself to do the times as noted.
TFE Build workouts are about an hour. Sometimes less, sometimes more. Just put in the work. Stick to the rest periods.

What if I have a busy schedule and can't commit to a specific time each day?

You can do this at any time of the day whether it’s first thing in the morning or in the evening. The point is to get you moving every single day and to think more about the long term lifestyle you want to create.
